Construction spending in September rose 14.1% since last year.

This week the House Rules Committee is going to consider the Surface Transportation Reauthorization and Reform Act of 2015, a bill that would put $261 billion into highways, $55 billion into transit and about $9 billion in safety programs.

This October, US manufacturing activity hit a two and a half year low, however, new orders and construction spending have increased.
